Having been in the planning and promoting stage for so long it seemed like 30th August would never come. Fortunately the promised rain only seemed to affect a few on the way to Hartley Wintney and it managed to hold off all day. The ideal opportunity I had to mention the barbecue in Porsche Post had it's benefits as a few turned up on the day to experience the history, surroundings and atmosphere of the Elvetham along with the excellent food - and a not so run-of-the-mill Belgian Grand Prix!!

The facilities at the Elvetham were absolutely perfect for our event. Michelle Chilton had done a sterling job at organising the front of house parking - all perfectly sign posted in a truly professional manner. The canapes served during the Grand Prix was a perfect idea and kept the rumbling tummies at bay until the excellent barbecue after the race. The projector TV coped well with the assembled audience and Michelle gave much of her time to give the "less GP motivated" among us to an enthralling guided tour of the house and it's history. More details of the house can be found at http://www.elvethamhotel.co.uk
